Living room
Step inside a single-storey Sixties house in Charlotte, North Carolina, with 5 bedrooms, 4 bathrooms, kitchen and dining area, living room, playroom and den.
Feature wall
Putting plates on the wall is a very traditional idea but here it's seen with a modern, preppy spin. The red and white geometric pattern of these designs, and the artful way they’re hung, creates a focal point, while the kitsch oriental lamp adds a touch of fun.
Hallway
The original 1960s front doors with coloured glass inserts are a striking feature in the hallway.Dining room
The dining room completely sums up the style of this contemporary home – unique furniture sourced at antique shops, with more traditional, feminine touches like the wallpaper and silverware.
Bedroom
For all their love of modernism, the owners haven't forsaken the Southern custom of monogramming bedlinen. But a playful mix of bold patterned accessories lifts this traditional look to new levels.
Reading area
The huge bedroom windows would make their dream fabric – silk – too pricey, so they've opted for chic linen drapes instead... or until they win the lottery!
Dressing room
The dressing room is located just off the master bedroom. The couple wanted to put doors on all the cupboards to create a sleek look, but they chose not to in the end, favouring to see all their clothes at once!
Children's room
Rather than go down the pink frilly route, they chose to create happy girl's bedroom space that mixes their love of good design and relaxed attitude.
